Destructible Environments

1. This video shows the destructible nature of all structures in our engine. Two details to watch are the secondary destruction behind the rails as pellets hit the wall and the interaction of the laser scope with the railing and wall in a realistic manner.   2. This video shows how the elements and players behave in a realistic manner. The player is always falling and only appears at rest due to collisions with the ground or other objects. In this video, the player shoots out the floor and falls through the resulting hole.

3. This video continues from video 2 and shows the level of detail of destructibility as small pieces are shot out of the structure above.   4. This video shows how destructibility removes the objects and not just their appearance. The player attempts to turn to the right but the shotgun hits the wall. He backs up and shoots out a section and then can turn as the shotgun moves through the hole.

5. This video shows the realistic shot pattern of the shotgun and how each pellet causes individual damage. The video starts with the camera locked close to the wall and then jumps back to the player who shoots the shotgun in slow motion. Just as the pellets near the wall, the view goes back to the close-up view where the pellets are slowed down and can be seen accurately damaging the wall where they impact.   6. This video is a continuation of video 4 and shows additional shotgun shots and the random nature of the shot pattern. Additional shots destroy particles where the pellets impact and these impacts continue the destruction of the wall with larger pieces being removed.
